Jen Niemi- Principal

Jen Niemi has been part of VCA since 2017. Throughout her time at VCA, she has taught in various capacities and grade levels, eventually leading to her role on the administrative team. Jen holds a Master of Education degree, a California Multi-Subject Teaching Credential, and a Principal Administration Certification. Jen’s dedication to education goes beyond academics; she is passionate about fostering social-emotional learning, student leadership, and nurturing the school community. Outside of her professional life, Jen has been married to her husband, Jon, for nearly 30 years. Together, they’ve raised two spectacular adult children and enjoy spending time with their family, which now includes a daughter-in-law and a naughty Siamese cat named Smokey Joe. They love traveling together, with a highlight being a Napa to Key West, Florida, road trip in their small RV, Chachi.

Renee VanMaren- Preschool Director & Facilities

Renee VanMaren has been with VCA since 2000. She is part of our administration team, overseeing the roles of preschool director, athletic director, H.R., and finance support. She has an associate degree in early education with a certification in administration from Napa Valley College. She has been married for 31 years to her husband Mike and, through the grace of God, has raised three amazing adult children. She loves spending time with her two adorable twin grandsons, vacationing with family, attending and watching sporting events, being on her boat at Lake Tahoe, and eating music and good food. She is a fan of VCA Lions, The Warriors, and the 49ers. Her favorite thing about VCA is when teachers come alongside one another and support our students with more than just academics.
