Elementary Staff
Kindergarten - Katie Dodd
Mrs. Dodd joined VCA as our Kindergarten teacher 2021! She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education from Concordia University, St. Paul, MN. She taught first grade for three years before staying at home to raise her kids. Mrs. Dodd loves teaching kindergarten and sharing Jesus' love with her students. Outside the classroom, Mrs. Dodd enjoys adventuring with her husband and four kids, going to the beach, organizing, drinking chai, and spending time with friends and family.
1st & 2nd Grade - Stephanie Klein
Mrs. Klein is the newest addition to the dynamic Veritas teaching staff. Bringing years of teaching expertise, Stephanie is VCA’s 1st and 2nd Grade Homeroom teacher. Stephanie holds teaching credentials in both Florida and California, having recently relocated to Napa with her husband and two children, who also attend VCA. She earned her Master of Education in Administration from USF and is passionate about English Language Arts and integrating hands-on, project-based learning into her classroom. Since moving to Napa, Stephanie and her family have enjoyed exploring their new community and creating lasting friendships and memories together.
3rd & 4th Grade - Chrissy Cole
Mrs. Cole has been with VCA since the beginning of 2021. Previously, she ran a private POD for first and third grades and taught after-school enrichment classes for NVUSD for 13 years, as well as tutoring. Mrs. Cole received her bachelor's from CSU and has studied at WGU for her master’s degree program in elementary education. She is the mother of four unique and beautiful daughters and has been married to her partner in crime for almost 24 years. In her (not so) free time, Mrs. Cole enjoys cooking, running, and, of course, being a part of every bit of her adventurous daughters' lives (which is mostly a competition dance mom these days). Her love for children and Jesus led her to teach at a Christian school, where she was a part of a BIG PURPOSE, which is her calling. Making a BIG IMPACT on each student's heart and mind drives her to inspire a purpose-filled life in these young ones daily.
1st-4th Grade Math & Science - Ariana Miranda
Mrs. Ariana Miranda joined VCA in 2022 and brings a passion for Math, Science, and her faith in Jesus to the classroom. She holds a bachelor's degree in Biblical Studies and is currently pursuing both her ACSI teaching credential and California Teaching Credential. Outside the classroom, Mrs. Miranda is actively involved in her church and enjoys spending quality time with her husband, family, and friends.
Art - Lindsay Deters
Lindsay loves teaching Art for VCA and we are so blessed to have her! Teaching Art is Lindsay's dream job - kids, paint & fun ! She attended Azusa Pacific University and received her B.A. in multiple subject education and then went on to Touro University for her multiple subject teaching credential. She has been married for 14 years and has four fantastic who are all VCA students. . Lindsay loves Jesus, Art, all things Hawaii, pastries, fresh peonies, baking yummy things & lots of coffee. She loves VCA because she gets to teach students about art AND Christ!
Spanish - Sonia Tinnon
Mrs. Tinnon has been at VCA since 2014. She teaches K-8th grade Spanish and Technology for 3rd-8th Grade! She has been married for 24 years and has four children. She enjoys watching her children compete in High School & collegiate sports. She also enjoys teaching the New Believer’s class alongside her husband at their home church Hillside.
Music - Molly Blackmon
We are thrilled to welcome Mrs. Blackmon, our newest addition to the VCA family, as our new music teacher. With a heart for worship and a passion for glorifying the Lord through music, she’s eager to inspire her students to discover the joy of praising God through song. Originally from Huntsville, Alabama, Molly and her husband made their way to Napa in 2021. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Music and Business from Lee University and currently serves as the Worship Director at Christ Church Napa. She also teaches private voice and piano at a local music school. When she's not teaching, you'll likely find her enjoying life with her husband and their two dogs, curled up with a good book, or cheering on Alabama football. Roll Tide!
