Middle School Staff

Jessica Rainey- 7th-8th grade History, 7th and 8th Bible and Language Arts:
Jessica Rainey joined the VCA team in 2022 as one of our Middle School teachers. During her time at VCA, she has taught history, language arts, P.E., and Bible. She holds a B.A. in Psychology and an M.A. in Biblical Studies. Married to her wonderful husband Rob of 9 years, they live in Napa with their two daughters, who also attend VCA. They enjoy spending time with friends and family, exercising, and cooking. Her favorite thing about VCA is working at a school that exalts Christ and emphasizes the Word of God in all it does. She loves the harmony between the younger and older kids on campus.


Jackie Mosley- 6th-8th grade Math and 7th and 8th grade Science
Jackie Mosley has been a part of the VCA family since 2010 as a parent and a teacher. She taught third grade for a number of years and is currently co-teaching seventh and eighth grade, with a focus on Math and Science. She holds a bachelor’s degree in liberal studies and a California Multiple Subject teaching credential. She is a dedicated educator passionate about cultivating young minds and committed to fostering a supportive classroom environment where every student feels valued and knows the love of Christ. She has been married for 20 years to her husband and best friend. Together, they have four children and enjoy CrossFit as a family. Her favorite thing about VCA is the community of people who value faith and education.


Anne Harlow- 6th grade science:
Mrs. Harlow has been part of VCA since 2013 as both an educator and a parent. Mrs. Harlow has taught since 1995 in both the public and private school communities. She has a California Professional Clear Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Cal State University of Sacramento, a Cross-cultural Language and Academic Development Certificate, and an ACSI Educator Certificate. She has been married to her incredible husband, Jeff, for 27 years. She has two amazing daughters, Emily, 22, and Natalie, 20, who attend Christian colleges in Southern California. Mrs. Harlow loves going to the beach and watching the sunset, paddle boarding in Lake Tahoe, sporting events like S.F. Giants or Golden State Warriors games, concerts, and vacations with her family. Her favorite thing about VCA is that our school is an encouraging family. We learn and love the Lord in all we do throughout our day.

Amanda James- 6th grade History: Miss James is our 5th and 6th-grade teacher and has been with VCA since 2021. She was born and raised here in Napa. After graduating from Napa High School, she went to Cuesta Junior College in San Luis Obispo, where she completed general education classes and played Water Polo! She then transferred to Biola University in Southern California and earned her bachelor’s degree in communication studies and a minor in Biblical Studies. She began working for a high school and college ministry in Southern California before returning to school and earning her Teaching Credential and master’s in education, Specializing in Best Practices from the National University. Miss James taught 1st and 2nd Grades in Nevada and Texas before returning to Napa in 2021. She started teaching 5th grade here at VCA and has transitioned into a 5th/6th Combo class this year. Ms. James has also been the assistant Water Polo coach at Napa High for the last 2 years, and she spends most of her free time with family, spoiling her nieces and nephews!

Lindsay Deters- 6th-8th grade Art: Lindsay Deters is in her first-year teaching ART for VCA! It's her dream job - kids, paint & FUN! She attended Azusa Pacific University. She received her B.A. in multiple-subject education and then went on to Touro University for her multiple-subject teaching credentials. She has been married for 13 years and has four fantastic kiddos, three of which attend VCA. Lindsay loves Jesus, ART, all things Hawaii, pastries, fresh peonies, baking yummy things & lots of coffee. She loves VCA because she gets to teach students about art AND Christ!
